I wonder how much of a deterrant the glove box being locked would be to a thief....

None. I wouldn't spend money to fix it. It would be cool if t worked though.

^^now that's funny right there^^
my 83 has several keys as well, ig/doors/hatch, one for alarm, and one for glove box. the glove box latch is quite weak and will barely stay in it's closed position. anyone have an idea how to solve that little problem?

Use glue and glue it shut, who needs to lock the box anyway
