There are recalls for the turbo models relating the exhaust system. But that would not be covers since it is not a safety recall.
It was not a recall and not safety related and is long passed its expiration date. It was an update to the one piece crossover.

since i know fuel lines sold are only for the FPR and the FPD
False, You can get the intermediate hose from him too. It is not cheap. You could also lose the Damper and never worry about it again

Safety Campaigns can be found at the NHTSA website as well, they are public domain. I believe it is www.nhtsa.gov if memory serves.

So can I call any dealer and give them the VIN number to see if any recalls are still open on my car??

This recall I knew about a while back and has caused many engine fires. I believe they are for the late model cars and with the cracked rubber fuel line by the rail, fuel will leak down to the spark plug wires. Lots of 944s have arcing/bad wires across the camtower so makes a perfect lighter sparking x amount of times per minute as the engine rev. I believe I have come across more than 10 fire damaged 944/951s so don't be lazy and check with your local dealer.

Derek, remove the damper from the rail, run fuel hose straight to rail. You are welcome to check it out any time you feel like driving the 100 miles to my place

I havent run my car but I have driven others that didnt have it and they were fine, including a few very high HP race cars.
