Yeah, very ominous looking, good job!! I was looking into what it would take to anodize the cam-tower, head and block black... hmm...

Man I wanted to do that when I had mine off to get the head fixed. Too many other projects kept me out of the garage. Now it's crunch time and I have to get it back together. I have a spare engine that I've been pulling parts off of to complete my engine (nuts & bolts). I might clean the cover off of that one and get it powder coated along with the intake..

hehe that picture is actually not up to date. that was a week before i gave it to the shop because school started and i needed a car badly so i gave it to the shop for them to finish because i couldn't get the engine to start. apparently i messed up some sensor stuff but int he process of tensioning belts and what not i had them reinstall the belt covers. so all is well

Jake, that is exactly what I want to do with my engine, although I'm going to go with a polished intake manifold. Ditto to the Miata...

In the meantime, though, I just broke out some engine paint, a paint brush and a bit of rum...

BB.

Great pics guys!
This stuff gives me hope. My engine is clean (sort of) but these are truly works of art. I will maybe be polishing my intake and cover, but now maybe just paint the cover to match and polish the intake.

Do you all think powdercoating would affect it at all? I have a friend of a friend of a cousin's ex-cellmate or something that would do it for me cheaply. It would be nice to have it done to match my car.

Guys,
Campeck's pictures do NOT do his engine justice! I've seen it, and it's the BOMB.

When I'm ready to start adding some bling to mine, I'll be knocking on his door for info!
