Default Headlamp problem

Ok, i think either my headlamp motor may be going out, that or the fuse. When i turn them on the come up justf fine but when I shut them off, they either go down like normal, or they have a delay. Sometimes the delay is a matter of secondes. Other times i just let them stay up and when i get out to the car in the morning the have come down overnight. Anybody have a similiar problem?

If you give a slight push on the passenger's side headlight, do they then go down?

Do you hear the motor trying to turn?

Check the fuse, then pull the relay from the side of the motor and clean the prongs. Also, clean the grounds. I believe it grounds right on the frame rail below it.

Push doesn't help. Once i opened the hood and tried to lower them manually by turning it, no go. As soon as i shut the hood, went down. It was a bit odd. When i shut them off and they don't go down, don't hear anything. As soon as they go down though, whenever they decide to, sounds the way it should if i just turned em off. I just don't wanna be stuck at night and they decide not to go up.

Yeah, mine did that as well at one point. It was the plug that does to the motor next to the relay. If they won't move jiggle the cable/plug. See if anything happens.

If you have holes in the rubber coverings, then look out for corrosion problems. Besides the relay on the motor and the plug to clean up, there are contacts inside the motor that tell it where to start and stop. Clean those tracks up.
