Default Best source for engine stand bolts?

I've tried home depot - no luck. Any other thoughts on where I might find 14mm x 1.5 x 100mm metric bolts for holding an engine to a stand?

the 4 bolts that hold the cross member to the frame rails are pefect for that job or else you might try ace hardware, they carry a lot of metric bolts

Thanks for the info! Just so happens I have a spare crossmember sitting around that I was going to ship off as a "pre-buy" core for a three-piece. I'll check it tonight; that'd save a lot of trouble. I'll try ace also.

These are an odd size. A typical hardware store won't have them. Better call around. Or check the parts bin. Can you swap around the mounting pieces to use a thinner part against the engine? Might let you use the bellhousing bolts.

I tried to special order some from Fastenal, I don't know what happened but they never showed up. I dug around in the basement, turns out VW head bolts are the same size. I believe VW transaxle to engine mounting bolts are the same too, if you are close to a VW dealer or even a salvage yard.

I'm telling you the 4 bolts that mount the front cross member are perfect and it's not like you are going to use them for anything while the motor is out.

I've found them at Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH). Also some hardware store in Gilroy that Bill showed me had quite a large selection of metric bolts. They even had 7x1.25mm bolts that I needed for my BBS wheels! Check your local Toyota dealer, I usually just bring in a bolt/nut I want and say I need one 10mm longer or shorter, or with built-in washers or flanged or nylock, etc. and they'll usually have the exact one I want. Most of the time, they even give it to me for free!

Don't know why the heck I posted 14mm before, but yes you are perfectly correct, they are 12mm x 1.50 x 90 or 100mm (either looks like it would work, but I belive 100mm length is a lot more common. 80 looks to be a bit short). Brain fart of the day I guess.
