anyone else likes the 931 ? or I am the last fan of it in the world ?
It used to be the strongest and fastest 2litre car in the world (had 177 bhp in Europe)
Rare to find a good one nowdays.

I'd like to have one to tinker with. I don't know why, I just do. I almost picked up one about a year ago until I noticed that it was a 4-lugger w/ drum brakes in the back. No good for me.

BB.

All European 931s were 5 luggers with 944 brakes.

(Off-Topic) Where are you located in Athens? I lived in Kolonaki (far up the hill) for a year when I was younger. I saw very few older Porsches when I was there but i'm glad to see your collection...

hello ckathens,
nice to hear you've been around. I live in a suburb by the sea called Vouliagmeni. There are mainly new Porsches here nowdays (Cayennes 996/997s and Boxsters). You rarely see an old one

You'll find little 931 love here.

Come join me on "The Dark Side" of P car ownership.

Rennlist is great, don't get me wrong, just not so much if you sport a 2.0L and looking for support.

Nice link, I enjoyed reading a little in that forum. I've bookmarked it for further reading.

It's been an age since I've seen a 931 in these parts. They are truly rare, as many of the few that were around fell into disrepair (since they were cheap I guess...).

I really like the looks of the 931, its incredible how much better it looks than the 924 (well, to me anyway). Even when compared to a 924S, there is still a style edge for the 931 with its cool ducts...

Thanks

Considering there were so few of them made and parts aren't readily available, the chances of seeing one is becoming extremely rare. There are a few of them in the Tulsa OK area but only mine is roadworthy. When I bought it the car had sat for a few years and required a lot of TLC. Attached are before and after pictures.

I really like the black wheels!

Here's mine (no longer the owner):

Wish I'd have taken more pics, interior was very close to perfect, with the exception of a dash cap.

My interior is also in great shape except for the dash cap. The seats are from a later model 944 so they aren't the original sport seats. It's currently getting a rebuilt turbo installed and should be back to my daily driver soon.

Great looking car Dennis, Love the black wheels too.
Seems they are a rare site on the streets these days. Could be a future classic. Prices for a good one are rising in Europe.

Yeah nice car Dennis. I have always wanted to see 'Spider Webs' in black. They look really good as does the rest of the car.

Thanks guys. The black wheels are that way by chance. I had polished out the surfaces and decided to paint the inner part of the wheels black. The plan was to spray the whole wheel then use thinner to remove it from the polished area. After spraying it looked too good so they are all black.

IIRC there were less than 1400 931's manufactured so they actually started out rare. I'm hoping the value goes way up before the wife finds out how much I've invested in it.
