Talking Just ordered my Corbeau Forza seats!

I just placed an order for 2 Corbeau Forza seats! I chose the double-locking bracket option since I hear it is a more durable bracket. I can't wait to see them at my door! Anyone else get Corbeau Forzas yet?

Sorry for the anxiety in advance haha

I bought new dress socks today. Can't wait to see how they look with the dockers! The anxiety is overwhelming.

I was just feeling one of my wisdom teeth and it feels like half of it is rotted out. I can't wait to have the tooth shattered from my jaw! The suspense is nerve wracking! Anybody have their tooth rot from within?

The Forzas look nice, will they be a daily driver seat? What color you get?

Nice cars! I have Corbeau Forzas in my 911 track car, along with red Corbeau 5-point harnesses. They keep me well-planted in the seat on the track (usually Sebring). It's not a great photo, but there is a cockpit picture on page three of my site:

groups.msn.com/porschelovers--pca

Guess I need to take better photos of the cockpit...

For those interested, my site contains over 450 Porsche photos--My 911 on track, my 944's, Club Racing, race cars, Rennsport Reunion II, Sebring, 24 Hours Daytona, Le Mans Classic etc.

Forzas?

Well, I wouldn't have them if they were free. The most uncomfortable seat I've EVER sat in. They are a tubular perimeter frame and have NO solid material between, only steel springs and cloth. I sank right through the springing and had the tube frame impressed into every hard point on MY frame that contacted it. They "look" like any other race seat. They are not.

I suppose for the price you can't expect much. For just looks I suppose they will be OK. For track work or long trips they would seem to be brutal. For the same money you could have gotten a Kirkey alloy seat that was more comfortable by far, and would hold up better by a mile.

I've got a very good used pair of Forzas I would have cut you a great deal on.

Your results may vary. Just my opinion.

I got my seats from www.soloracer.com They offer free shipping on amounts over $350.

I shoulda put a thread up to see if anyone had some used ones they wanted to get rid of I think there's 2 944s on this board that only have a Forza for a driver seat, perhaps they want another for a passenger. *cough* Jabbadeznuts where ya?

I bought (used) a Koeing seat and a Recaro seat - as soon as I get the inner belt adapters from BK, I'll be installing them! The seats are very similar in design, and the back reclines. Paid around $400 total for the two.

i have a sparco sprint which is bottom of the line, but it's pretty comfortable. it's a tube frame also, so i don't know what makes it any more comfortable than the corbeau. different strokes for different folks i guess.

I have Corbeu TRS seats and I love them. I needed to swap seats for space. They have been in use as a daily driver and require a little more care (removing pills, cleaning cloth seats) but they look very good and are very supportive. Posted in cars pictures but a small pic of them installed:

I did have a tricky time with the install. I need to get longer bolts because of the width of the mounting frame and found a specialty nut / bolt store that had them in the right grade. The clearence was also an issue so I had to chop an allen key down to be able to fit it barely into the gap between frame and seat to tighten.

If I run into any issues with hardware I think I'll try Lowe's since the one in my location has a fairly good selection of metric bolts and nuts. I've heard some issues about where the mounting holes are drilled on the brackets. Did you run into this?

The mounting holes were drilled on the brackets but they were drilled in the correct places and were ordered to fit, I belive most Porches shared the same seat/bolt layout from the early years.

Make sure you get the right grade of metric bolt. It would be terrible to have your seat bolts snap in an accident.
