Anywho, I inspected the belt (no obvious problems), retimed the shafts, tensioned the belt and buttoned the car back up. A quick test drive was perfectly normal. I didn't wind it out beyond 5k or so, but it drove as it should. I'll take it to the shop tomorrow and let them do their thing with it to make sure everything is kosher.
