Unhappy Reference mark sensor and stud (impulse sensor)

The car had a hard starting ie long cranking time to start up along with clutch and tranny problems. While changing out the clutch I noticed the reference stud was worn down? or better not the same size of the other studs on the flywheel wich by the way what are they for? two of them on the innermost section. The dealer manual says at 5 mm clearance on the stud but what is the clearance between the sensor and the stud?

One sensor is for the engine speed, the other is for the TDC. If either one fails, or their connectors get cracked (from engine heat and age) you would get the "no start" issue.

My sensors are fine, but their connectors (sensor side) are pretty much in bad shape, luckily, i have my old NA engine with "new looking" sensors to swap.

The only clearance i know of is the 0.8mm between the sensor and the flywheel, some people would chime in on this one on exact clearances needed.

Thanks for the info. I should have said the studs on the flywheel there are two more on the wheel and want to know what they are for.
