Fishey,
Thanks for you input. I did read the tests and, to be fair, I'm comparing two different performance categories as the MX is a Max Performance while the KDW2 is a Ultra-high. They just happen to be the same price.

I also read this from the test comparing the g-force KD and MX:

On the track in the wet, the g-Force T/A KD still provided responsive handling, along with good cornering and braking traction, but it couldn't match the handling or wet traction of the ECSTA MX.
Considering they conclude that the MX is just slightly behind the max performance KD in the dry and better in the wet, how can the KDW2 be that much better?

What is your personal experience with the two?

the MX's are compared to azenis on track. They have a great reputation.
The MX doesnt even hold the Azenis jock strap. They might have a great rep but so did the 712.

Personally, I wouldnt buy either but if you are set with those as your choices the BFG.

PM me and let me see if I can so something better for the same or similar price for you.

Understood. It still does not change anything. The BFG is a better tire.

The KDW2 performs in the dry at the same level as the KD except at higher heat loads (on the street no diffrence). Even if you look at tireracks test you will see that it actually beat the KD for dry performance (altho day/temp/car will vary) While the test results obviously will vary it does let you know that the KDW2 does do a great job in the dry as well as in the wet.

I think alot of people are put off the KDW2s because of the KDW a tire that I personally have found to be a bit lacking.
