Default E-prom burning

Hey guys, I am very intrested in the Porsche E-proms and the HEX coding, Im looking into stuff and would like to learn as much as I can and then start making some chips. Does anyone have sites or books that would be a good start on the "HOW TO" and also on HEX coding?? Thanx for the help

Look into the 8051 series of chips. There is a bunch of info on the web about them. Learn the code, the op codes and other little things that go along with them.
You can grab an eprom programmer on the web for around $50. It reads and programs. You will need a UV light chip eraser if you want to program / erase and program again.

Read all of that and understand it before you go any further. Once you do, I have some stock chip dumps you can decompile and look at.
