1) My response should read having not moved for FOUR hours (see what happens when you are doing 4 things at once )

2) The best gauge is one that is replaced often. It doesnt matter how expensive they are, nearly all of them are cheaply made junk.

I don't know how many people do this on the 944's but when doing moddifications and tuning for friends cars we always use a bike pump (with gauge) to set stuff like Wastegate and MBC settings to specified PSI. That way we don't have to mess around with it at all when its on the car and installed. We know that we have set it correctly before we install it and I have to say it makes life alot easier.

Also for checking air pressure I got a really nice inline gauge that I use along with other gauges and they are all spot on.

Not all are junk. The pen ones and plastic ones are junk. Longacre has a nice liquid filled model with an equalization button on the top to reset to current atm pressure and a pressure relief button to let out excess pressure. Nice rubber protector around the housing and a dayglo face which is easy to read even in dusk/dark conditions. I think I paid around $34 for it and with proper care should not need replacing anytime soon. If you want to drop serious coin there are models that do not use a bourdon tube but an actual diaphragm type pressure transducer, some accurate to .1% of full scale. Last I checked none were under $300.
