Default inside panel and fins/duct behind N/A nose

I've searched on the archives, can't find anything on this- I'm making my own vented nose panel. There is a 'cover' behind the nose panel that blocks the radiator, on it there are some fins that direct air up and to engine bay. The fins are not symmetrical and some are diagonal from driver's side angled to passenger side. My question is this-is it more beneficial to have the air flow to the radiator or to the engine bay or both? Keep in mind it's for a N/A so no intercooler and I'm doing it for vanity also but in hot 'n humid New Orleans extra cooling is not a bad thing. I'll try to take a picture and post it later, but does anyone have information/opinions on this?

BTW-I will be removing the panel directly behind where the vents will be attached to inside of nose panel itself, I'm talking about the 'cover' forward of the radiator. TIA
