Hi. I recently acquired another project. It runs great when warm, but it's almost impossible to keep it running long enough to get it warm. I was told that the '77 924 has a cold start/run valve or switch or sensor or something. Can anyone help me with this? No manuals yet. Thanks in advance. --Paul.

It is most likely the Warm Up Regulator. The Cold Start Injector is only activated for 3-5 seconds when very cold to help start it. Warm Up Regulator adjusts the mixture as the car warms up. On most CIS cars that I have worked on (Owned 7, worked on dozens), if the WUR is in good shape, and the injectors are clean, the car runs very well. CIS has a bad reputation because people don't know how to work on it.
I recommend you pick up a book on Bosch CIS. Performance Products has one for around $30.

Dmitry if it were the WUR it shouldn't run great when it's warm. Might be the Aux air valve. I second the Bosch CIS book and you should also get the Haynes repair manual. Another great website with lots of knowledgable people is www.924.org.
