As I said, I mean no harm, It's just to "Hi, I'm 18 with disposable income and I own a Honda" looking for my taste.

I guess thats why I drive my 17 year old car. I havent found anything better for me.

Looks good. I do like them. About the wing, it really isnt that bad, though in silver it looks mighty big. The 3000GT wing on my stealth often makes me thing there is a car in the way when there isnt, so I know what you mean.

The scoobs are good fun cars with a crapload of power and good winter tread. But its just as fun to park it and drive a pcar like I did today!!!! Hadnt driven the Nine Fiver in damn near 10 weeks. Felt like I just bought it all over again. Vroom vroom!! But holy sheite are these cars' suspensions wound tight. Has my car always been this way?? I got a double hernia on the drive home.

With only performance in mind, I would take my slightly modded 951 over an STI. The STI is very nice and has the new car feel to it, but it does not out perform my car, or it doesn't feel like it does.

The silver is very nice though. Good choice.

One question, why have a scoop? With a top mount intercooler? Doesn't heat rise? And forcing the air down to the engine, exiting out under the car and creating lift in the rear?

0-60 in 4.6 sec. and you can get 500+hp for 7gs with some bolt on items, not bad, for the STI. The 951, I think it would take a bit more money plus I doubt it would be as reliable, bu the 951 is still alot more sexier, Ill allways think that, no matter what I drive. As for the scoop thing, no idea but there must be a reason for it. I like the darker silver as well.

Chris924-Yeah im just bustin *****,I can see how people might think that, i guess when i wear my hat backwards like ussuall ill look like that 18yr old, but with my bald head stickin out ill look like im more into the Im older but still wanna have funand not grow up completely look. Mid 20's crisis

yeah thats what i was just going to say... unlike the celica action package, the STI and EVO have functional wings and hood scoop/hood vent.

and just curious 9fifty1 what do you have done to your car? and have you actually driven an STI? my (well i mean chris_924's) 951 is no slouch by any means, but there is a world of a difference between the 18 year old sports car and a brand new race bred rally car.

as for the rice look... i'm also in my mid 20's crissis and i like the look. agressive, and functional. clean as well. toeach his own. good choice on cars fty! i really liked the STI i test drove, but with all the options it was 6000 more then the evo. couldn't afford that...

When I saw the EVO in the mitsu show room 2yrs ago, I was extremely impressed and I respect mitsubishi but am partial to the STI but bopth cars are extremely similiar i guess it comes down to brand loyalty and since i never had a problem with the past two Subies and love the STI, i had to go with it.. 951 and Evo nice taste as well!!

I am about to take the spoiler off the GTO. The geniuses at GM had it placed so that it perfectly blocks the view of anything within 200 feet of your rear bumper. great for parking.

I wonder how they will feel if I give them the car back at the end of the lease with the spoiler in the back seat, neatly wrapped in plastic, and stanless screws in the trunk lid.

Something interesting Ive noticed with my WRX that Ive never experienced with another car. If you do not clear the snow and ice off the car -- especially the rear spoiler -- the aerodynamics of the car get so screwed up that the car will shake violently at 60mph. I dont mean driving with 3ft of snow on the roof either. Ive had a small piece of ice on the rear wing on an otherwise fairly cleared off car and the thing feels like it has a severe alignment issue. Even in other cars with a lot of snow and ice on it I never noticed much other than a more slugglish auto with less visibility. When I clear snow and ice on this car, I have to do it 100% right down to the paint.

Sorry man, I didn't mean to sound like I think I did. My car last summer was still running the stock K26 at 18 pounds. MAF, exhaust and a few other things, nothing really. I have driven the STI and evo 8. I personally like the evo better. I do not like the feel of the steering in the STI. I was at first jealous of the shifting in the STI and evo until I installed my 944 Racing short shift kit with the SFR momo shifter. But, I must say the STI is not anything like the reg WRX, totally different beasts. The STI is quite amazing, I like them but they do have some things I don't like. My 951 pulls harder, the power did not surpise me. The evo is very nice, I love the handling of the car. The only reason I would buy one is because they are a newer car that I like. I like the 'newness' of them. Starting over really. Besides that I love the feel, power and look of the 951 much more. Thats my .02 cents.

I really do like that silver color, man. Although, I too, would do my best to lose the coffee table wing. We saw 2 WRX's at the Texas Mile last Fall. The Sti was bouncing off the speed limiter all the way through the traps at 145+, and the carbon hooded WRX "only" managed 135-ish. Pretty impressive considering the aero drag; 2 lightly modded 951's went 136-138. My bud's HOT 951 ran 136 with a roached clutched. Nonetheless, I'm sure the WRX's make rip-****, fun-time daily drivers. I say get the wagon and go full tilt with the sleeper mods.

UD, my bud's mom has owned a Forester for 4 years. We always used it for our casino trips to Lake Charles. Lotsa power for highway droning, although the seats seemed a bit flat in the lower back area. We used it a couple times to go fishing at the beach, and I have to say I was impressed that it handled soft, loose sand as well as any luxo, soft-roader SUV can.

uh, let's get one thing straight. any car that has 300hp and handles like the sti can have any scoop or wing it wants and it's not considered rice

also, you have to change your website now to "asiancompulsion.net" or something like that
