Cool Hi I am new

Hi I am a relativly new Porsche owner. I bought a '78 924 NA little over a year ago after the forceful encouragment of my friend (sharky47). It has been the cause of alot of frustration and anticiption. It runs now but not driving yet. I love working with my hands and designing things. About my screen name obviously it is not my real name its just a funny word I came up with one day and it always seems to work for screen names, and what could be funnier than a monkey on crack.

Hey... I may be going crazy but I swear I remember seeing this car in the same spot in a picture posted a long while back, but without you in the picture. Does anyone else recall? Was it bought on ebay? (edit - After thinking more, I think it was infront of a dif building with taller grass. nevermind!)

Congrats, these cars are frustrating at times, but it'll be worht it once you get her on the road!

Tell me about frustration. I love working on these cars though. They are even more fun to drive. I smell race car. Have fun with the 924.

It's always great to see a young new enthusiast standing next to his Porsche. Brings back memories of when I was younger, too!

Glad that Sharky pointed you this way. You'll find lots of helpful information here.

Welcome to Rennlist!

Unfortunatly Im not a student there, but i am working on transfering in my little brother got in this spring. I feel realy stupid asking, but what is TWS. Thanks for the complement on my car, Jeff, thats a nice on you got there. Th picture of mine is before I took it apart and started fixing it. I am kinda scarred to start putting it back together in fear that I might not remember how it goes or that I lost parts. I agree with Porsches being addictive I already have my eyes set on an early 80's 928 # 142 of 150 that came with matching luggage or atleast that is what Sharky tells me.

While you wont find me in Crimson they have something that I think it unique to A&M. They have a Sports Car Club on campus that actually rents the race track (one of the best private tracks I have ever been to, excellent road courses). TWS is Texas World Speedway and the Porsche Club, Ferrari Club, Lamborghini Club, CVAR, SCCA, etc all hold events out there. A lot of the Car Club members make spare cash by doing corner work on the weekends.

http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/

You can go to the track almost every weekend you are in BCS!
