I forgot to mention this, but when the engine started, there was a very odd humming noise coming from around the waterpump area. Do waterpumps usually hum before they take a crap?

Rock, did you have the waterpump replaced when you did the belts, down here? Because I bet it is going bad, I didn't replace it, as I only had the car for a very short time. And the PO didn't do anything to that car...
Should be okay to drive for a while....

Try crimping the connecter loops on the wires at the battery that you have just sitting on there, then try to diagnose it. You can't just slide the wire into the loop and expect it to work. Let us know. Are you getting power at the pump, if yes, check the ground, if no trace it back and don't rule out the alarm because you don't want it to be the problem. Good luck

You are responsible for the death of my yellow Simba.

I didnt RULE the alarm out, it was a piece of crapper after market piece of *** that the installer must have worked at walmart in the customer service department.

I tore that out, ill crimp my ***** tomorrow, methinks its a ground though.

Also, i didnt have the wasserpump replaced when I got it

didn't I see a factory alarm key in the quarter pannel on the yellow? I'm talking about the factory alarm. I know the aftermarket one is gone.

the only alarm was the aftermarket one, the yellow didnt have one from the factory.

Ill try crimping the stuff tomorrow... but do you think that is really the problem?

The yellow was sposed to be my backup 944 when the crap fell through on the black... oh well thats life

IIRC Andy, the black car he had in the garage for the Turbo nose a few weeks ago had the factory alarm with the 2nd key hole. I thought the same thing you did til my memory came back....
The black Rock-mobile also has the "operation spaghetti junction" action going on in the dash and console.

The black does have spaghetti junction going. I need new seats and door panels for it, but thats my spring project.

The car we are talking about is the yellow 944. It doesnt have an alarm, whereas the black car does. Two different 944's under the wrath of rock.
