Transplanted to Houston 29 years ago. We should have a gtg that is "centrally" located enough that most of us could attend. Like Bryan/College Station.

I'd be all for that...it's closer than Dallas or Houston for me.

Yup, Kevin, I'm the one that worked for Lockheed Martin (MFC) in Orlando. Got laid off in June, came out here to Houston and now work for a NASA contractor. Hope you enjoy your time at LM! If you're in Arlington, you're probably working for MFC - Dallas, right? I've been to that plant a few times, the people there are a lot more laid back than Orlando.

Kevin: Oh, man, do I miss those off-Fridays!
Wes: Yeah, a nice pair of headlights will get my attention everytime but there's just something about a well-proportioned rear end that's pleasing to the eye. Plus it helps that it looks a lot like my NA (except I have the rear fill-in light, courtesy of a PO).

Kevin - I like what you've done with your car, it sounds like we've done some of the same things, and have similar stuff planned for the future. I'm in the middle of a head gasket project right now and will be tackling fuel delivery/management once the head is back in place.

I'm also wondering if there's any interest from DFW 944 Turbo Rennlister's that have never seen a head off to come over to my place and check it out. I'm taking my time with it, so it'll probably be in that "state" for another couple of weeks.

I live in Crowley, which is just South of Fort Worth off I-35 (between Fort Worth and Burleson)... any interest in a local GTG/show-and-tell of head/gasket/belts/oil cooler/exhaust/etc?

haha, actually i am selling my car my cardomain page is pretty old and i haven't updated it in a while. the car should be sold this week, just need to finalize it with the buyer.

on a side note, i would be interested in helping out/watching the head replacement. have you done it before? (just curious why it will take a couple of weeks...) i'm going to miss working on the 44 once my baby is gone, and that means i will have to get my high off of other peoples cars.
