Default PART FOUND, DONT KNOW WHERE IT GOES...

And the parts counter didnt recognize it either. I have actually found two of the exact same part in the car since I bought it. And since I dont have a camera right now I will give as clear a description as possible.
It appears to be a metal gear of some sort. It is app. .5inch wide and has an allen head fitting on the top. There are grooves all the way around it (like fine gears) and one notch that is deeper than the rest.
On the bottom side there is a peg that protrudes from it app. .25 of an inch.
The parts were found under the hood in the cowl area near the battery box.
I will try to do a drawing and scan it later if there are no obvious answers.
Thanks,
terry

Default Part Found

Does your cruise control work? If not, this sounds like 'extra' cruise control unit parts....

If it doesnt LOOK like a 100$ part- it's not Porsche.

A picture says a thousand words.

Terry, is this the part your refering to? Its been a while since I took these out of a parts car (not even sure why I still have them!), but, I really don't even remember what exactly they went to. Window seal spacers?

Ken: those are the nuts that secure the brackets at the bottom of the front windscreen to the car. There is one next to the base of each wiper arm (2 total)
