Ok guys, we are getting a little off base here.

I know a plastic radiator can be had from many sources. I also know that many 944 owners are willing to use bubble gum and duct tape as a cheap repair. But that is not what I have in mind here.

I am asking how many are interested in getting a custom made, high quality, direct bolt in radiator, from a reliable national manufacturer with a two year warrantee. When I put parts onto my car, I only want to do it once and assure that it lasts, so I do it right.

I am going to have one made for my car.

If anyone else is interested, speak up. When I have a head count, I will be able to get a firm price. The more we have the better the price. With any luck, maybe we can get close in price to the cheap plastic radiator.

Heck, once Griffin has made the prototype, all others down the road wanting a quality part, would benefit.

Yes please. I'm not sure how, but I think the ones for the 944 and 924S are slightly different from the ones for the 951 though. Yes? No?

Tom, I'm having some difficulty with this. Do you have a web site for this company?

check his feedback (except for some kid with a -1 rating...just a jerk!!! so many out there)

http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors/...rid=entropytec

only downside is sometimes you may not receive the product as quickly as you may like.

what is your 'difficulty'...? you can email the other 100+ eBayers to see if they were really satisfied

dunno of a website, but what would that prove?

Tom,

This is the great thing about this board, an open share of experiences. So your experience was good. Just a couple of questions:

1. Was your radiator a direct bolt in?
2. What warranty does he offer?
3. What payment program does he require?
4. I assume the cost was $250 for just the radiator. Was taxes, shipping or anything else added.
5. Is the $250 a set price ( 1 or 10)? I noticed on the link that he wanted $350.
6. How long did it take from order to delivery?
7. Did your radiator come with brass fittings? ( I would be concerned about dialectric corrosion that occurs from dissimilar metals).

Thanks for your input.

1. yes
2. I didn't ask...but per feedback he has replaced units damaged in shipping
3. the usual eBay types...Paypal, Money Order etc
4. additional S & H was ~$20...$270 total
5. yes, the $250 was negotiated, I think he wanted $325
6. 1st one was immediate, 2nd...several weeks
7. the sensors/fittings in the aluminum block are 'dissimilar metals' from Porsche…true?

Tom, did you notice any improvements in cooling with the DeQuick radiators?

I have a Griffin racing radiator in my Conquest. Looking at the pictures of the Entropy unit, I'd have to say that asthetically, the Entropy is a nicer looking piece.

If the original owner of this thread really wants to get a group purchase going, then asking members here about this radiator is not the way to do so. You need to get on eBay and contact Entropy to see if it's something that they are willing to do. Then you negotiate purchase prices with them. My guess is that this is a fairly small business, and based on prices, I'm sure they won't be too generous with any form of GP, as they allready offer one of the cheapest aftermarket bolt-ins available.

Most aluminum radiators you find are in the $450+ range when they are setup as a direct bolt in. Universals can be found for under $200, but at that price you have to modify the car and build brackets just to bolt the unit in place, then you have to figure out what to do with your fans. I paid close to $300 by the time it was said and done, just making the universal Griffin fit and work in my Conquest.
