Does anyone have a source for the brackets that hold the hatch cover. They screw into the back of the seat on each end. I'll take new or used in black if anyone has extras from their car or one they are parting out. This is for an '83 944 NA. thanks

The "A" and "B" denote color. Which part # do the 85.5 and later models require?[pparts7 ] It looked like all the 944's could have a choice between 16 and 17.5 mm parts as my PET doesn't tell me which cars used what parts. Same parts list all the way back to 83 944's.

Looks like black is all I can get in either size, takes a week to get to us. Thanks!

I was hoping someone was parting a broken cover. My local dealer wants $12.10 so I guess I'll go through them afterall. I'll have to measure the innards to get the right size though. That is weird about the 16mm and 17mm squares shown for so many different years; I noticed the same thing in PET.

I have a spare hatch cover which uses a metallic body and metal end caps. The cross section is much larger than the standard hatch cover with the plastic body. I am wondering if this is the one that uses the 17.5 mm end caps?
