I think you mean you pulled the DME relay and used a jumper to activate the fuel pump. My relay is new and definetly getting gas. I have to pull it just to keep from flooding it.

HI DAL, THATS EXACTLY WHAT I DID. D.M.E WORKS FINE, SPARKED WHERE IT SHOULD , VOLTAGE WHERE IT SHOULD BE, BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT START!!. AUTO ELECTRICIAN CHECKED THE CAR AND FOUND THE FAULT AT THE PLUG ITSELF NOT THE CARS ELECTRICS. CLOSED UP THE CONNECTORS IN THE PLUG AND THE CAR STARTED FIRST TIME. HOPE THIS INFO HELPS YOU MY MATE, REGARDS MARKT955.

That makes sense, I could see the DME (NOT the relay) plug having a bad connection.
It's easy to get to, under the steering column.
