I definitely notice more "whirring sounds" myself, as I've only had mine in for 2 weeks. A little disconcerning at first, but then I thought about it. Of course with all the other problems I'm having (the parking lot guy, the "wierd cutout") this is nothing since I know what it is.

Andy -
You really won't notice much of a difference, IMHO, except that your clutch issues will be gone.

Hehe -- when I had my head replaced, my wallet was $5500.00 lighter, and my car was back to square one! (Ok, maybe there was a 0.05 hp gain - but I couldn't tell!!) No difference in power compared to the old, cracked head. How's that for a kick in the rear!?!?

i've only got 120 miles on my new spring centered clutch, but can't tell any difference compared to my old rubber-centered clutch.

I second this in my S2. Feels great.

I find the spring-centered one to be. . . well. . . springy. There's a little bit more "bounce" after releasing the clutch. Not necessarily bad, but takes a little getting used to - you can get a little "lurching" unexpectedly if you're not paying attention. Very good overall though.
