And what does "titanic" mean? Do you say if the meeting was "titanic", it means there was a good turnout?

Titanic is a mailing list based community. Look on the homepage Titanic Basically a mail sent to one address goes to all users. Another version of a BBS.

There are also titanic lists for 993, GT3 etc.

Generally, when someone arranges a meeting from titanic, there is a good turnout. These can be track day meetings or just informal meetings at a pub for a get-together.

Titanic meetups can easily exceed 50 cars

Rick.

Are we talking about 50 924/944 variants, or 50 Porsches of all models? We too have meets that go into the 100's, or even thousands (PCA Parade) but AFAIK, there aren't any water-boy exclusive events our size. Not that I want to start a contest or anything, but I'd like to know if my 944Fest is a title holder internationally or just nationally (OR just regionally).

Check out the "Frontrunner" event on Rick's site. In excess of 50 front engined Porsches there no problem, the vast majority '44s. We also had over 20 944's at a rolling road day in June and various other 944 only events.

Hey Fen! Nice color selection! I've got the only US Glacier Blue Turbo on the list, they are quite rare over here. I've seen a few other S2's but no Turbos. I checked the frontrunner pics, yep.. lots of cars. it is hard to tell total numbers as the shots are of different groups, none show much more than a dozen. Does anyone keep official count?

In the UK we have a lot of 944 get togethers from both members of the Porsche Club GB forum HERE and the Titanic 944 list HERE .

On my site there are hundreds of 944 pictures from all the big 'official' PCGB and TiPEC meetings and a lot of the Titanic get togethers and track days. The events index page is HERE

You've already discovered the REFERENCE PAGE

Enjoy ....

Close, but mine says "turbo RS" with the smaller script from the 911's. Mine will also have a euro bumper but my wing will remain black.

I love those huge 5spoke lightweights and big reds on Rick's car! I've done many a "right-click-save-as" on his site..
