Ron...the easiest way to figure out which speaker wires are for which speaker is to take a battery and touch one pair of wires to each end of the battery at the same time. You will hear static for the speaker whose wire you are testing. You can also tell which wire is +/- by this: the speaker will suck in if the negative wire is on the + side of the battery and will pop out if the + is on the +.

All the negative speaker wires are the same color as the corresponding speakers positive except they will also have a brown stripe.
I just rewired and put a new reciever in the S2. I have all the colors for that car but the 87 924S might be different.

Here you go, from the wiring manual:
Passenger Door: - Brown and Black wire, + Black wire
Passenger Rear: - Brown and Red wire, + Red wire
Drivers Door: - Brown and White wire, + White wire
Drivers Rear: - Brown and Yellow wire, + Yellow wire
That's per the manual, if you have something different, you may want to trace it from the speakers forward. Good luck!
