Low-Tec 2 pod A Pillar Group Buy

A little history for those who don't know it.
A LOONNNG time ago in a place called Rennlist, a group of posters were lamentint the fact that there were no gauge pods available that fit their 944s. One of these "listers" had the idea to get them custom made as a "group buy" and started calling shops that made plastic parts. He settled on a place called "lo-tek" and got the ball rolling, he got a fellow lister to donate a spare (stock) a-pillar cover and sent it to lo-tek and then waited months for them to make a sample and figure out pricing. The price was kinda high since this was a custom part, the cost of the tooling was divided by the number of parts made for the group buy.
The group buy had many participants who were very happy with their one-off pieces when they finally got them. Imagine their suprise when the part was added to the catalogs of both lo-tek and another parts supplier a short time later.
And this, boys and girls, was the beginning of the 944 gauge pod.

Strike force: This is only for the gauge pod or the gauge holder. NO gauges are supplied, you need to purchase your own. The gauges should be 2 1/16" or 52mm, since you NA people don't have boost, you would be interested in something like oil temperature, narrowband a/f ratio and so on.
POP: Someone asked the same question regarding 3 pods instead of 2, im just trying to get as much people as we could, next month we would contact Low-Tec AND John D. then see what could be done, time needed and prices.
Dave: Thanks for the brief history lesson

If you use it for an oil temp or volt meter you are just integrating form and function.

Devon: if you like to keep your eyes on the road and watch the oil temp, voltage, water temp, vacuum Hg and almost anything else you could imagin besides a supercharger or a turbocharger then it works well.
Having the gauges mounted below the radio is not very safe since you need to keep your eyes ON the road instead of off the road

Devon check out www.worlduph.com for the corect SEM dye to work with your interior.
Just order the standard black pillar pod and do the burgandy finish yourself.
You will also need the SEM plastic prep to get a perfect finish.

I am interested in a 3 gauge pod. I have the 2 gauge but would like to have 3 as then I can have boost, af and I think I can work my v1 remote display into the bottom pod.

I'd definitely go for a 3-gauge pod, if it ends up being a no-go I'd probably do a two, but I'm really looking to have boost, A/F meter and EGT on the pillar. If I have to I'll ditch the EGT, but it's a piece of information I'd rather have. . .
