If you want a plain polished metal finish on the fuchs lip, I suppose that's OK. But depending on the scratches, you can't add metal like they do at a foundry.

The original finish, however, has those fine lines if you look closely.

Yes, i noticed the fine lines in the factory look............polishing (chrome like) i know the process (Thanks Danno) now it's the scratches.........hand-sanding would work in that case? if so, i need to know the paper type (100,200, 400 etc) and what is wet sanding?
