6 point belts seem so much nicer than 5 pt ones... its so much harder to get nut-jam in them, if you know what I mean.

I really am considering a 6-point too for autocrossing for that extra support, but I've seen some obscene prices out there. Anyone have 6-points they bought for a good deal?

racer wholesale has G-force belts 6 pt camlock FIA approved (good for 5 year in racing) for something like $109 that is a good deal

Most sparco run abotu $200 for a 6pt camlock set. You might be able to get one used from a racer who had set that exprired due to the carzy SFI 2 year rule. I have spare set, but they are going in the passenger's side of my car.

Hey Joe since SFI has that 2-year rule, does that mean I will need a new 6-point every 2 years or until they update the new belt type, whichever it will be at the time??? Boy it sounds tedious sticking to their rules. Porsche Club here in SD still uses 5-points for autocross but I think POC uses 6-points and strictly follows SFI still as well as 944 Spec.

For the purposes of avoiding self-ownage as well as self-neutering I think I'll go 6-point for sure haha BTW, what's the URL to Racer Wholesale?

Andy,
For "RACING" you need legal belts. These are belts with SFI stamp less than 2 year or FIA stamped belts less than 5 years. When my good SFI belts expired I replaced them with FIA belts.

Now for DE most orgs just say the belts need to be in good condtition. For the most part old belts are good for autocross and DE, but not for wheel to wheel racing. Read the rules specfically to be sure.
