Weeeeeeeeeeeeell, I've got nothing planned for next weekend and I can crash at my girlfriend's mother's apartment and drive back Sunday. Getting up early is going to be a bee-otch, though...ugh. Wish I had a fellow greaseslinger from Houston to keep pace with...anybody else from Houston going up? George, James...anybody?

I think I'm going to withdraw from consideration...a local friend talked me into running a 5k race with her Saturday morning in Houston. It was hard to resist, I've been wanting to run competitively again.....plus she's cute, LOL. Oh, well....maybe next time, guys.

 

There are TWO Hooters (appropriately) in Arlington. It has been decided that we're meeting at the one at I20 and Green Oaks. Don't end up at the one on Collins by mistake.

 

Hey Jake...can you compile a list of probables who may be coming? I (BigRed) and my wife are planning to come although driving the 944 is a little out of the question considering the weather.

 

Just to make sure you are all aware - the Hooters in South Arlington at I-20 and Green Oaks never got their liquer license, so if you were planning on having a beer with your wings, you may want to reconsider.

On the other hand, when they opened that location (over a year ago), they were giving away "free" beer in protest (yes, that's legal). I'm not sure if they are still doing that or not...

 

I have to cancel all my plans in Dallas for this weekend. Mr. Influenza was kind enough to pay me a visit.

 

Tell Mr. Influenza hello for me and then kick him in the nads! I think he's trying to pay me a visit as well...

I hope somebody called ahead and made them aware that there is about to be a swarm of Porsches come flying in! There is a movie Tavern behind that does sell beer I believe.

 

Well, it was fun. There were only 4 of us 944 guys (only 3 brought cars...I couldn't bring mine) but the 928 crowd sure showed up! By the way, where were you, Jake???

As for beer...it was free. Take that, all of you who didn't show up!

just curious but how many rennlisters (944 people...) are there in DFW area? next time i need to susbscribe to these threads so i don't miss them when the event comes up.

 

Is there an easy way to take a headcount here? I've seen polls about things, is there an official poll feature on rennlist?
