Lol, this is funny. I told him i wouldn't buy the car at about 9 am. If you called after that, then it was actually sold.

Darn! I was so looking forward to getting my hands on that engine for the Callaway. . . Oh well, I suppose the vulture in me will have to be fed another day. This way (hopefully) the car gets to live on intact though. Hopefully the new owner knows a thing or two about 944s and doesn't just expect to slap a new t-belt on there and fire up and everything to be groovy or it'll be back for sale again in about 2-3 weeks!

Jeff, yeah, looks like I just missed it. My wife wasn't too impressed with the thought of having another car in the driveway, especially a non-running one, but I would have bought it anyway. I know you guys would have stripped it bare for me in almost no time !

Oh well, I'll keep an eye on the classifieds... :-)

Darn... I've got a 944NA head at the machine shop being rebuilt. Someone could've just changed out the head on the side of the road and driven that thing away...

I was given the option of paying for it and just leaving it at his place for a while...until i could tow it

Maybe i should have done that.
