That deck would look good IF you had the blue dash lighting, but as a humble owner of a stock-lit dash (of a yellow-gauged 944 no less) I second the call-out for a nice amber-lit deck. Though I must admit I haven't begun looking for myself .

I have a clarion in mine. It goes with the early n/a interior nicely. Sounds pretty good too.

AndyK - I have the Toronto too and love it. You're right on the buttons, I would never go back. Only drag is that my 3-year-old Blau has some parts of the display panel that don't want to behave. Wish I could figure out the issue as I, otherwise, love the unit and matching amber colors.

a volume **** is a wonderful feature. If for whatever reason I suddenly want dead silence from the stereo I just reach down and flick at it. No fumbling for an obscure mute button.

When I graduated highschool I got myself a JVC KDSH707, its a AM/FM/CD/MP3 player. It doesnt look factory, but it does look nice (full aluminum and multicolor LCD display) and still today has more features than lots of other recievers. (3 seperate amplifier outputs, 7band IEQ, bass control/boost, balance/fade and inputs galore)

I expect I wont upgrade it until I can run a PC based all in one system.

My requirements were similar, I wanted a **** and an older original look. I bought a Becker (Porshe) CDR-220 off of Ebay. So far it has been great, has a great sound and great reception. Here is a link to one currently on ebay.

Mine was upgraded to the Blau Las-Vegas. Personally, i think it sounds pretty good with the factory 10-speaker...but it has to be turned up a bit. Nice definition, but it needs volume to bring it out. Only problem is hearing it over the exhaust now. I prefer not turning up my car stereo loud when i drive. I like listening to the car. Oh well!

Post pics!

I got a couple quick pics. I tried to get one in the dark to show the blue gauge lighting but it didn't come out at all.
The thing sounds great. If you look closely you'll see a few wires coming out under the console near the accellerator. Those go to an aftermarket keyless entry. I disconnected them when I installed the stereo so now I have to reconnect them. I just haven't gotten to it yet.
