Ok I have a bad vibration at idle and a rattle from the tanny...so I know I need new engine mounts and I'm pretty sure I need a tranny mount becuase when you let the car idle and put it up on a lift and hold pressure on the tranny it will stop so I am guessing I just have a weak mount....anyway I don't know if I should go soild all the way around or rubber...I have been told that I will still have vibrations with solid mounts....if so will it be as severe and if that is true will they be worth it...I need all the advice you have to give...thanks alot.

I've witnessed two cars with bad motor mounts, one was terrible. Seriously rattling bolts loose on more than one occasion. The other was moderate and was noticable and a little annoying. I'm guessing that solid would not be the way to go for a street car. Also, be sure that you have all of the heatshields, they do play a part in keeping the mounts from premature failure.
