$2,500 every 30k, plus another $1000 every 15k?? Yikes! That could be costly if you buy a car with 29k on it! And I assume the more you drive, the more $$ problems pop up, on average?

I also heard the 308's were slower than an NA 944?

First, I only drive about 3K a year with a car like this so It will take me 5 years to get to a routine maintanence. 1,000 every 5....I can live with that.

Well the trick is to buy one as close to 30K as possible with the service already done. That way you don't have to be paying for it. Like my car on ebay for sale, all the works been done; cost me nearly 10K for everything but I'm basically loosing that money on the sell.

As far as performance....yea it sucks. The one I'm looking for has 240HP but the car weighs close to 3250 pounds. 0-60 time is 7.3 seconds which is slow....even for a Ferrari. The Euro gives you 270 HP and weighs only 2950 lbs. So with the Euro you gain an extra 30HP and loose 300lbs. This gives you a substantial increase in 0-60 times of 5.7 which is 951 range.

In comparisons between the Ferrari and ...i cant remember if it was a 951 or an S2... the Ferrari edged the Porsche out in handling. Which is understandable...the car is a pancake. Apparently the Porsche was the all-around better car. (not surprising) I can't remember what mag it was...i have the article though.

Well there cant be that many! There werent many to begin with! At least for 1991, there were only 510 coupes! I think it was like 400 something for 1990. After you take out race car converts, parts cars, and wrecks, there cant be that many left!

I'm far from an expert on eBay, but I just set up the listing for my Z28. I set the buy it now price at a few hundred dollars less than what I wanted. My goal is to get the car sold. I figure if I set the buy it now at a little less than market, someone may jump and grab it before the auction ends, which would make my life a lot easier for a few bucks. I've read that a lot of deals on eBay dont go down because the buyers are not serious, or start to negotiate after the hammer has fallen. Maybe with a lower buy it now I will get a more serious buyer. Just food for thought.

Default Porshe Update

Thanks for all your support guys.

Wanted to let you guys know I lowered the reserve ,to 13,999 and the "Buy It Now" to 17,500 on my S2. I just found a Ferrari that I'm going to go test drive this weekend, looks like the car for me, so I'm trying to move the car before then.

Bonus, if your a rennlister and you get the car, I'll give you $500 off your winning bid.

Ferraristyle-
I think I may have your old 951. I bought it from a guy in Fresno. He bought it from someone on Ebay who lived in PA. (If I remember correctly) It was originally bought in Allentown. I have the original Ebay listing and there was a story about having to sell it because his girlfriend stuffed his Ferrari into the back of an SUV. It's red with black interior, Fuchs, '86. Had about 78k on it at the time. Ring a bell?

I just double checked your S2 ad and some of your language sounds exactly like the ad I have for the 951. I also looked back in your Ebay history and I think I found the original buyer of the 951 listed. (I recognized a name.) I have some more recent pics of the car if you are interested!
