What radar detectors are you all running in Ur-P-Cars?

I had a Passport S2 and did not like it, too much glare and could not see the display, the Passport 8500 has served me well and I really like it but im time tired of guessing where is the cop coming from. The V1 has superior range compared the 8500 and it tells me where the cop or cops are.

Don't own one, but my silver and black cars don't get picked up by radar; cause we're RAIDERS. The other day a motorcycle cop pulled up to me while doing 78mph and just told me to slow down! However, they usually nab you in a 25-50mph zone that's where you most likely need one, neighborhoods, schools, local traffic, etc. Never owned one, never felt the need to, cause on the big track they don’t care.

Yes, the dear Mr. Valentine runs a yellow 996TT as his summer ride here in Cincy.
As for POP use, when out and about in parking lots or on the street and I run across police cruisers with radar equipment, i first check to see if it's the notorious MPH brand BEE III system, and if an officer is around, I lightly quiz them about the POP mode and if they use it along with "their" take on its accuracy (if they say it's accurate, they likey write tix based on it ). Then all you can do really is mentally note the area of town or township where you were, and use caution when in that area. I seldom speed on the freeway any more, but it's those damn 25mph zones in po-dunk areas or tiny little municipalities (like Silverton, which is less than a mile from me) that play havoc with keeping your speed in check. Heck, this irritates me just writing about it.
YMMV.

Bel RX-65 or a V1, usually the RX-65 I like it better than the V1 and the girlfriend needs one so the V1 will go in her car, the Bel has POP but it is turned off because cops dont use POP in this area.

i use a ten year old bell cobra, works fine.. i read something recently that did a new vs older detector comparision and allot of the early 90's models actually out performed the brand new ones, interesting stuff. i wish i could remember where i saw it though..
the V! is definately the unit to have though..hands down.. when my old one finally dies (its amazing the abuse its taken) the V1 will definatly on the top of my list as a replacement..

Certainly a radar detector is very useful, but it's even better when you pair it with intel of "known" radar traps. Here's a site that lists reported radar traps by highway and state... very useful!

Can you get one for me too.
Ive never had a ticket, but the drive to Mid-Ohio is all empty rural roads and if Im just migrating with a pack of p-cars, it would be nice to safely open her up to 85-90mph and make a 3hr drive more like 2.5.
