For me, I only considered portability.

The S2 is cordless and I believe ranks at the top of the cordless market.

V1 here as well.

Here is info on POP.
http://www.007radardetectors.com/pop_radar.htm
and
http://www.valentine1.com/pop/whatispop.asp

POP is riddled with speed reading inconsistancies that even the radar unit mfgr MPH, has issued a TSB on for police depts. I have read a very interesting article on a site I'll have to try and find again.

V1 here

And I love it.

I set a new personal best trip time from Detroit to Greenville SC this past Sunday with help of my V1.

I don't know what I would do without it.

The articles on POP are very interesting.

I wonder if there is a way to find out who uses these new detectors. I wonder if you could fight this in court?

There is a pretty good thread in the General Topic area on this.

Radar Detectors

I use a V1 as well. Has anyone sent theirs in for the POP upgrade?

V1 -- Having the arrows and # of sources read out is key here in the north east.

I just got a new V1 (WITH the POP protection). I replaced a Pasport 8500...I ran them both for a few days - Even did my own test with an old K-band radar unit I own (I use it at DE's and such) AMAZING how much better the V1 is. As they say - once you've lived with the arrows....
