Yellow- No fuel, has spark and injectors are pulsing
About 2 months ago the yellow died in the middle of the road and didnt start back up. I didnt hear the fuel pump whining so I thought the fuel pump died. So i swapped it out with another fuel pump.
I was messing with it today. It started for and died instantly. Afther that I couldnt get it to start again. I swapped the DME relay. No go. Anyone have any suggestions? The problem is the fuel pump isnt running. thanks in advance!

Can you hook the pump to a 12v supply (like a spare battery) to make sure that it is indeed a lack of power getting to the pump? If it is, make sure you check the circuit on both the power and the ground sides.

an 84 eh? Check the connectors for the speed and refrence senders. Wiggle the connections and try it. I ocaisonally have start problem, wiggle the connectors and all ok for a couple more months.
If the DME isn't sensing engine rodation, it wont turn on the fuel pump.
Just something else for you to try.

If it started and died, and the pump is not running it is most likely a failed fuel pressure regulator - the DME is shuttng off the pump because of the excessively high pressure.

It started for like one second... the DME wouldnt shut it down if there was no pressure in the system. I removed the nut at the end of the fuel rail and tried to see if fuel would squirt out onto the catch towel, and nothing.
I ran a volt meter to terminal 86 of the DME relay to a ground and got 0 Volts. Clarks garage suggests this means a bad ignition switch or faulty alarm. This car has an aftermarket viper alarm... would that be a problem? How would i bypass the alarm?

I said pump but I meant the injectors - I am getting old - the DME will not send the ground to the njectors wth excessve pressure. But since you have opened the cap you have elminated this possibilty.
Did you check voltage AT the pump?
It is VERY likely that the alarm is the cause.

I didnt check the voltage at the pump. I figured it would be zero. If its 12, then we have a block in the fuel system. Terminal 86 showed zero voltage which means alarm or faulty ignition switch. Im leaning toward the alamr because it looks poorly setup anyway... spliced wires and electric tape everywhere, how do i bypass this thing?
