Default Crackling sound coming from windshield

i've noticed a loud crackling sound coming from the lower passenger side of my windshield when my car is moving. The deal is, when I push my finger between the dash and windshield and push the dash and windshield, the crackling goes away...i stuffed a rag in that area and it takes away that annoying sound. I got a new windshield. The installer is coming out Monday to fix the seal, so I'll ask him to check out this problem too.

anyways, what could that crackling noise be? it is annoying and doesn't make me feel too sure that the windshield will stay in place, break, or something...

Maybe a small piece of mylar or similar is between the windshield and the frame?
Windshield recently installed? They will probably shoot some windshield sealant in with a hypodermic to fill the void.. does it leak water?

It doesn't leak at all, probably because the area in question is at the bottom of the windshield...no silicon sealant was used either...maybe there is some void in the area
