Talk about weak, I drove to work today in my father's beat up looking '90 Accord. I hit the brakes, and prayed to the Gods of stopping!

Even at 16 years old, the nice fat vented discs of the S2 are way impressive!

Sorry for the thread hijack...back to why you shouldn't beat up your 944 by burning rubber!

I have never seen the side marker lights on the bottom lip of the bumper; even on European cars. Is that factory?

How is it hard for the tranny? or the CV joints.
I would think that accelerating with traction would be harder on them.
but once the tirers have let loose than they would continue to spin without much effort.

???

I would give my left... well maybe not. But it would be awsome to have a safe place to play at. The kids here in Cali get new parks, the dogs even get parks... But us adult auto enthusiasts get the Royal Shaft. They hav shut down both drag strips in the last 6 months and I heard the city may not allow SCCA and POC events at Qualcomm in 2005 because of insurance issues.
Looks like fun!!!

Campeck - it's getting to the point where the tires are spinning that causes the hard wear and tear. IE: That initial 'SLAM!' is what gets ya!

I couldn't help myself and got carried away. Gesh. It's amazing what one can do with a few still photos in sequence. Like this right? My little contribution to rennlist for the day.

There was movie but we lose contact to a guy who was filming that.

Hmmm...If we are talking about a transmissions in the 944 I can tell you about when It brokes usual.

I have a friend who has the 944 Turbo Cabrio and until that he put on his car 18" rims everything was alright. He also was doing stuff like that or racing on track. Everything was ok. He increase the power to almost 300 hp and everything was still ok. But after he put there a big 18" rims everything goes wrong. He broke 2 transmissions with just speeding and driving on track. And he did that in 3 months....2 original 944 transmissions in 3 months just because the 18" rims. OK he is not riding slowly but on the 16" everything was ok.

That's why I don't have on my cars bigger rims like original 16" rims and I don't care how it looks it should be strong and fast and it is

I have seen like almost 20-25 944's (2.5, 2.7, S2, Turbo) was speeding od the GoKart track's and everything was ok.

My friend from that picture was having many 944 from 2.5 by S2 until that 951 and he had never any problem with the transmission.

....someone was asking...it is a sticker at the bottom of the bumper

I got scolded for donuts in our snow covered parking lot Tuesday.. my tranny is being replaced, CV's already shot, replacement of the rear suspension as well as the rear tires in the next few months.

Funny, The CV's stopped making noise after 5 minutes of playing???

I laugh everytime I watch this. Just cracks me up. Hans Dahlback, of Dahlback Racing in Sweden. 1984 Audi sport quattro, 5cyl, 20v turbo, aluminum block motor with many, many many mods...

I was going to make the stills of the 951 into a super spinning movie, but this was my first dab at making one from stills and mixing my own music. I didn't use the last four images as they made it seem out of sequence as did some of the first ones. I had a blast making it though!
