Well I ended up bypassing the alarm according to clarks garage instructions. Now I am able to try and start the car but getting it to actually run is a different deal all in itself. Thanks for the help

just thought i'd post up. make sure that when you jump the wires you use the switched 12 volt and not the constant 12 volt like i did. my battery drained within a couple days to zero which really sucked. the red/white wire is the constant 12 volt...and then the white/black in the larger bundle as explained by cyrus is the switched 12 volt. just make sure you use a voltmeter to check as you go along.
