Default 944 S2 Options

Couple of question as I look for a 944 S2 (non turbo):

1. Where can I find a list of the option codes between 89-91?

2. Are there any earth shattering differences between the 89 through 91 S2's?

Lastly, are any years better than others?

Merry Christmas.

Option code sticker is typically underneath the rear deck carpet, affixed to the rear wall (same panel the tail light assemblies are bolted to). The option codes are all available on Clark's Garage.

I'm not aware of any huge differences in those years, but Clark's also has a very nice year-by-year summary of models / major changes from one year to the next that you might be interested in.

Good luck.

The only difference I know is that the 91' coupe has the 968 style rear wing. I also remember reading somewhere that the 91' has rubber-metallic suspension bushings.

Its actually the 944-style wing since it was designed and used on the Turbos first in 1990 and then the 1991 S2. THEN the 968 got it. (haha, but who its funny anyways!) The 89 - 91 are really similar. There is a book by Peter Morgan that lists many of the differences. Its pretty good. Between the 89 and the 1991, there probably isnt anything that would make you prefer one over the other. Aside from the cabriolet version. Unless you really want the wing. And there were a few special colors offered for 1991 that no other year got. Good luck finding those though. (Zyclam, Cobalt, and some weirdo green color...)
