Default If I dont get it running....

I got looking for the simple stuff again and noticed that I cant find an altenator bracket.Does anyone know what I could get out of my car?(Comparing parting out to selling whole)I think I could probally part it out better because it is all there but needs something minor to run and doesnt have a title.I found out I can get one but it probally isnt going to be worth it to me.

Specs:
1977 Porsche 924 with Sunroof
4 cyl,4 spd,limited slip rear(?)
Red exterior with all perfect body panels and glass save for the body parts:front fenders(each one has a dent the size of a tennis ball)Metal grill piece by the pop up lights(drivers side dent by the headlight the size of a half dollar)Metal piece under the nose has some road rash.
Tan and black interior.Great save forrivers seat cover,Grill in the middle of the dash

A little work could probally get it running but I figure I could probally get more out of it by parting it out right?

Thanks,
Ron

A 924 isnt worth parting. You will waste a lot of time and get very little money for it. There is little demand for 924 parts.

If you want an alternator bracket, I know a pick n' pull in San Antonio with a '78 924 in it. It looked pretty complete when I was out there.

It'll probably be January before I can get over there again - there aren't a lot of parts that I need right now unless I can't fix my DME. Here's their info in the phone book:

A - 1 Imports Auto Parts
9663 New Llaredo Highway
San Antonio, Tx
(210)-623-3333

I got good prices from them last time I was there. The place is a little understaffed though, I'd be patient if you call.

Ron I have a couple of alt. brackets from parts cars. If you PM me your addy I can send you one for the cost of shipping.

Also, don't give up on your 924, get it running. Once you do you'll appreciate how much driving pleasure you can get from what other's might call a worthless car. If you want to talk to more people who understand the 924 and it's value come join us at www.924.org.
