http://www.turboford.org/ubb/ultimat...c;f=2;t=035181 and also, how does the tensioner for advance/retard work on the 968? wouldnt the higher pressure from the hydraulic tensioner pushing harder with rpms stretch the belt and/or make it weaker and more prone to breakage?

A couple of guys on the 924 board have used the franco timing gear and they say it is a world of difference. The only negative thing that was brought up on the gear is that since our distributors are driven off of the cam when you advance or retard the cam you also mess with the ignition timing. The gear still works but it would have more potential if you were running with DIS or a system where the distributor wasn't run off the cam.
