Default wheel purchase question

I have searched thru the forums and i am still not sure if these whells will work on my 80 931 (same as early 944).

The rear wheels are 9x17 with a et 47 and the front rims are 7.5x17 with an offset of 52.

The rears look OK but the front has too much offset??

Thanks!

Sounds like you have 968 fronts and I believe your car needs lower offset wheels.

Are these 17" cups? If so then if you find a set of 993 fronts they will be 7" wide and have a lower offset.

Also if they are cups pm me and I could be interested in the fronts if you have to buy them as a package.

I'll be selling a set of cup replicas with tires in a week or two. I need to find my scratch pad with all of the wheel details. They are coming off my 86 951 if you are interested.

The 931 uses late offset wheels so the offset is correct. Those wheels seem to be too wide though.

dme,
if those wheels don't work out for Bob, I'd be interested in them. pm me with the details including tires? price? etc... were you running with spacers or without? I have 18" twists on one of mine but I will be selling one of mine in the next couple of weeks. if I sell the modified car, I'll want some wheels for the one I keep! Long story... I am interested, though!

The fronts would fit, but the rears would be way too big (just like Pete said). If you could find 4 fronts, that would be ideal.

Thanks for all the ideas. I replaced my front struts spindles with 83 944 units so I guess I don't have late offsets up front.

here is the link to the ebay auction I was watching:

I have 924 carrera GT flares on the rear quarter and borrowed 9fitty1 's rear 17x10 with 265 40 tires already and they fit very nicely.

Hey Derek, what is the offset on the rims?
