Why not meet in the middle? We could have a Porsche meet at the foot of the Washington Monument.

Now that would make for some cool group shots.

How bout something in the NC mountains. I saw a thread about the "dragon's tail", that would be a great spot to do some cruising.

Florida is to south, i'm talkin like middle, North Carolina or Virgina, so it would be true East Coast, not just limiting it to Southern East Coast. This would include all Porsche, the 911's, all the way up to the new 996's. A Big German Meet. Maybe we can do it at a Porsche Dealership up there.

How about Cumberland, MD. This May, Cheapeake Region PCA is holding their Chesapeake Challenge 36 (one of the longest running multi-event weekends in the PCA) at Rocky Gap Resort. Jack Nicklaus Golf Course, concours on the course, Cumberland Airport AutoX with third gear layout and country roads rally. More coming soon on CC36.

If there's interest, here's a glance at the motor sports program there: http:www.nationalroadrally.com

At the June event, there's a Friday night Porsche Corvette AutoX Shootout.

DC area was 11.5 hours straight for me last year when I worked there. That would be a fun meet though if we could get lots of participation. And, now that my turbo is in good mech. condition, I'll drive anywhere.....with my jack, jackstands, and handtools :-).

Count me in. DC has a lot of nice areas that have big parking lots. I'm sure we can find some monument of land mark to meet at. Tony, where are you man, you're right outside of DC. We need ideas!

There are some 993 owners around there that I'm sure would also love to make it. Once we get a place, maybe we should cross-post through the forums.

DC sounds good, a good reason for me to visit the Sister. But come on, nothing is better then the New England coastline. Lobster bake anyone? - Jay Gratton
