Default Voltmeter Readout, Battery Problems

Ok so I highly doubt it's a battery problem...i'm running a 6 month old optima redtop. But anyway, here's my problem:

I have Broadfoot pulleys, I have iceshark's adjustable voltage regulator. However, at idle my voltage meter reads out REALLY low...at or sometimes just below the 12 mark. Although when the car is moving or I rev the engine, it's at a perfectly normal level...a little above 14 or between it and 15 or so. Anyone have any ideas? Might it be because of the pulleys?

If they are underdrive pulley to save some HP, that would do it. I did this on a RX-7 and the voltage would drop down at idle. I did it to keep from replacing the Alt every year and reduce water pump cavitation. I was shifting above 8K, not in the 944 range of operation.

Yeah, I think you are falling off the cliff because of the underdrive. The alt is just spinning too slow at idle.
