Turbo's aren't interference design???

Interesting to note that my dad's POS 90 Accord has an interference engine. Same for most Hondas. I guess they have a sturdier timing chain, or, are much cheaper to replace if one breaks? Otherwise, you would see similar reviews for used Hondas - "beware the interference designed engine and replace your timing belts regularly"...!

That's right -look how flat the valves are when you look down into the intake on the head. They enter into the combustion chamber and would intersect the pistons at such a shallow angle the piston cuts would be angled slices across the top of the piston - that would affect the shape of the chamber, compression, performance.

Assuming the interference maintains what is optimum for this engine.
