Thanks for the comments guys. I'd be way too scared to over tighten those waterpump nuts... my dad has broken one on one of his old 951's and it took him a full two days using everything from pliers to a blowtorch to get that stud out of the block...a real nightmare! It's something I'm not willing to risk letting happen. I need to double check and see if my pump is refurbished or a factory part. I also can't remember if we used gasket sealant either... I'll have to ask my father tonight. He helped me on the waterpump swap because he knew how easy it is to make a measly 6 ft lbs turn into a HUGE pain in the ***, he should remember about the sealant.
