$8500 without the wheels. sell the wheels separtely and you'd be better off imho.

Well, with the low-ball evaluations that seem to float about here on this B-BS, I oughtta be able to get about $2K for my car, so hang onto yours for a bit longer so I can scrape up the other $4K, allright? Thanks!

If you really want top dollar advertise it in PCA classifieds, I have never seen higher priced 951 than in the clubs classifieds.

not trying to be an ***, but $8500 for a good condition 951 is not rediculously low. you can't expect to recoup all the $$ in maintenance or mods. a stocker in the same condition might actually get more than with the stage 2 mods, imho.

$8500... I think thats incredibly low. I do plan to advertise in Panorama and PCA, etc. I understand its all about finding the right buyer, which I will take my time doing. I think I can get what im looking for with patience.
Sam, I am not installing the widebody fenders... but I would go ahead and include them with the deal.

I think $8500 is the starting price for a nice, clean 951. There are exceptions, but this particular car is definitely worth more than $10k, and it will bring more than that, this I'm confident of. The car's not only clean, but has many great cosmetic upgrades (and the color looks classy/clean in it's current state), but ofcourse on top of that it's also been taken about as far as 95% of 951s will go. My best guess is that it will bring offers of 12k+, and up to a tad bit over $14k, if it reaches the right buyer. The car couldn't be duplicated for much less than that, mind you. I have several people interested in my clean and near stock 87 for $8500, and it's only been listed for 5 days. These people have checked out other 951s advertised in this range and above, but fact of the matter is most of these cars that are advertised as "clean" are not in that great a condition... 951s in truly good condition are getting significantly harder to find, and will command a premium due to this.

Well, i guess my opinion is not very valid. You can get a NICE 951 for 5-6k in CA. Easy.

that car comes with all the right upgrades: vitesse stage II, 968 mirrors/handles/spoiler, euro bumper, LSD, 18' speedlines, splitter . . . i must say you've done a great job during your ownership. and i don't think those modifications will hurt the value near as much as the color. i hope a black 951 with similar upgrades will be on the market when it's 951 hunting season for me.

what kind of other cars are you considering to replace the 951? . . . if that is even possible.

The problem with modded cars is that it instantly eliminates probably 2/3 of your potential buyers, especially if you did the work yourself. And I have to say, if I found past posts that gave me any doubt, I'd walk in a heartbeat. The car may be worth $8000 stock, and have another 10k in mods in it, but until you find that person that wants to take an $8000 car and add 10k of mods to it, and the same mods mind you, it may be a hard sell. Not to say that you won't find someone that values it as much as you do, it'll just take some time. I think this is why some part out the mods and return the car to stock to sell, it often seems to bring more in the long run.

Matt H is right. Past experience has shown me that no amount of blood/sweat/tears/documentation/perfectness will be reflected in the purchase price of a modified car. Especially when they are modded forced induction cars. There are just too many risks to the buyer.

I am replacing it with an M coupe or M roadster, that I am going to supercharge. I have had a lot of fun in my car, but I am starting to get bored (as I do with cars), so im ready for something new

i think the cost of these cars is a joke. If i were doing financially well, Ild be stocking up on these cars. and when im am doing financilly well, I want like 4 of the best models around. Ild pay 30K a piece for the right ones. course, i wont be telling the sellers that.
