Brian, what chip do you have in yer car?? Friggin 9000rpm redline with what, 1000rpm of overrun?? C'mon, Brian, be honest; you're runnin' the NAWS, dog!

I hafta side with Matt's point, though. Any 2.5L pumping out 180hp has got a LOT more going on than " just headwork and exhaust."

IE: the one tom posted.
You mean you dont understand it? That is what a stock LT1 with a flowmaster does. Here is someone elses LT1 dyno. I will do a search and get you more if you want. I think the retards that designed the motor designed it to have a flat torque curve. How retarded, right?

Tom, I don't think he was talking about yours, I think he was talking about the comments towards his 'loop.'

Wow Campeck, now we have proof that the frwilk chip is no joke! I will definitely consider one now...I have a Weltmeister chip, I don't think the improvements are that drastic...

Tom R who cares about a LT1, its not in a porsche so who cares. ANy one can make a 8 cyclinder beast have big HP numbers to me its boring. Its better when you see a 4 cyclinder turbo motor putting out 500hp or a NA putting down 200hp that kinda stuff takes some real skills and thinking

campeck... Check out my website for a series of 944-spec car dyno's

Unfortually I can't really read your very well. You do have bad dip below 4000 RPM... something is wrong with your car or the dyno.

Maybe If I have some time I can read yours and plot them vs the spec cars to see where you stand.

PS... yesterday I did a chip vs stock test at the race track. Felt like I make a little more mid range power (4000-5000 RPM) with the chip. Top speeds into the braking zone and lap times were inconclusive. I will attempt to do another back to back track test this weekend at a better track to test this. I will also try get some dyno testing done before the year is up.

BeerBurner - that thing looks like it cost a pretty penny. I'm glad to see the horsepower numbers worked out good for you!

Matt,

The scales are different on the 2nd graph.

If you look at the first graph that he posted and do the hp/torque conversion numbers... it looks to be about right. Though obviously its hard to tell.

95-130 for hp vs. 67-128 for torque.

Adrial, I noticed. I find it really funny that a shop doesnt know how to print a dyno graph so the results can be compared without replotting all of their graph. Oh well, so goes life.
