If a little head work is a completely different head with US style Ti valves, Ti valve springs, ported huge, matched with the intake, a cam, etc....then MAYBE I'll go with just some head work and exhaust.

You sound like a Mustang guy...they love to say, its only got a little work, or its all stock. I once had a guy who blew my doors off tell me it was ALL stock and he wasnt lying, it was a stock 460!

1) chart needs to be adjusted, it is not on the proper axes.

2) anyone else ever seen a loop in a dyno chart?

I didn't say a LITTLE headwork. it was ALOT of headwork. he redesigned the cumbustion chambers matt....and the exhaust was only that it split into two small pipes to get some backpressure.

what are you talking about? It looks perfectly fine to me. the only differenc i see with other charts is that this one doesn't look like it was drawn so a 3 year old could understand it.
IE: the one tom posted.

looking at the charts...our PEAK TQ is for me: 128 @ 4100 rpm
for dad: 192 @ 4580 rpm

not 113
or 178. that is the TQ we have at max HP.

Campeck, they should cross at 5250, at current they cross at 4900ish.

Aribop - is that a question? I have never seen it. Did you guys shift on the dyno? I.e. were you in 3rd and then shifted to 4th?

Not a question...just don't understand. We did not shift...we stayed in the same gear. All I know is our cars were bogging down bigtime when we first got on the gas.

no..we did not shift. we did a second gear run...(some 3rd some 4th for different ppl) and went to 3K then rolled on the gas till flooring it.

I dont see why they should cross there? Is it some wordl wide accepted thing?
the looptyloops are from the engines bogging down from to rich mixtures...there for loosing rpm's and losing TQ and HP...then gaining it all back.

matt- go to ian's thread and the red NA by itself with the hood open and black engine is the 180 hp monster.

You got me, I have never seen it before and I cannot think of a logical reason. Then again, it says you made 1550 ft/lbs of torque

A whole lot is explained there. Dyno runs should be in 4th gear. That is the 1:1 gear for nearly all cars. Slip the clutch and floor it.

Yes, it is

Doesnt explain it.

matt- go to ian's thread and the red NA by itself with the hood open and black engine is the 180 hp monster.
OK, I will but if his pull was in 2nd gear the results dont matter to me.
